Big Fella Thanks: odds shorten as Walsh confirms ride - Trickster out to 14

Ruby Walsh has confirmed that he will ride the Aintree Grand National favourite Big Fella Thanks, meaning that the horse's odds have been cut from 8/1 to 7/1 with leading bookmakers, and that Tricky Trickster has gone out to 14/1.

Big Fella Thanks, who finished last year's race as a seven-year-old, is the red-hot favourite for the Grand National, with few other horses coming into the race as well backed. Mon Mome, last year's winner, is second favourite, and will carry 11st 7lb for the race.

Tony McCoy, in the meantime, is hoping that his National hoodoo will end with a ride on Can't Buy Time - admittedly an outsider, but one that McCoy hopes will be able to get round the legendary course. Currently at 20/1, Can't Buy Time doesn't yet represent significant value for many, given that the 'McCoy' factor often slashes the odds.
